Walter S. Kearns, Jr. Professional Background.
Walter Kearns, Jr. earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1986 and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Advisor in 1987. His company, Just Financial Planning, Inc., founded in 1987, specializes in developing comprehensive written financial plans on a fee-for-service basis. Walt's clients include individuals, small businesses, and Qualified Retirement Plans. He provides investment advisory services, retirement planning and estate planning, and income tax planning, including income tax preparation.

Walt Kearns is a Charter Member of the Salem-Glenvar Rotary Club.

In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner, Walt holds a Masters Degree from the State University of New York and is an honors graduate of St. Michael's College. In the Spring of 1992, he helped introduce the High School Financial Planning Program at West Milford High School in New Jersey. Walt is currently an Adjunct Professor at Roanoke College (in Salem, Virginia) where he teaches Personal Finance. He is also a frequent lecturer to both the public and private sectors and has taught courses on financial planning, investment planning, and estate planning at community schools.

Walt and his wife and children relocated to Salem, Virginia in September of 1997. He enjoys golfing, skiing, camping, and gardening.

Just Financial Planning, Inc. is located in Salem, Virginia at 1630 Roanoke Boulevard. Our office is across the street from General Electric and next door to the Tech Credit Union. We have provided specific driving directions below:

Directions From Interstate 81 (I-81):

1. Take I-81 Exit 141 to Electric Road toward Salem/Route 419 South.
2. Drive 3.2 miles to traffic light. At the corner, there is a Hess gas station on the left and a Chevron gas station on the right. Turn left onto Salem/Roanoke Boulevard.
3. Drive 3/10's of a mile and look for the sign Just Financial Planning, Inc. Turn right into our driveway (just before Tech Credit Union).

Directions From Roanoke via Route 419:

1. Take Route 419 North - continue past Lewis Gale Hospital.
2. Go straight throught the traffic light at Route 11 (Apperson Drive).
3. At the second light after Apperson Drive (at this intersection there are Hess and Chevron gas stations) turn right onto Salem / Roanoke Boulevard in Salem, Virginia.
4. Drive 3/10's of a mile and look for the sign Just Financial Planning, Inc. Turn right into our driveway (just before Tech Credit Union).
